A man in his 30's has been arrested in connection with an assault on a teenage girl in Co. Cork.
It happened at around 1.20pm yesterday afternoon when the girl was allegedly attacked and sexually assaulted at Chapel Square near Fermoy town centre.
It's understood two young men heard her screams for help and the attacker fled when they arrived.
The girl was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries. She is said to be traumatised.
The scene was sealed off for a forensic examination and last night a man in his 30's was arrested for questioning.
