A man has been killed following a road crash in Co. Kildare.
The car he was driving collided with a lorry at around 9:50 am this morning.
It happened in the Stephenstown area close to Naas.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The lorry driver is also aged in his fifties.
He is now being treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
A technical examination of the scene is to continue into the late evening.
Gardaí are appealing for information and dashcam footage.
