A pedestrian has been seriously injured following a collision with a car, in heavy fog, in County Cork.
The man in his thirties has been taken to Cork University Hospital following the crash, which happened at 1.20am on the N71 near the Kevin O'Leary Roundabout.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
The road was closed and local diversions put in place, while gardai carried out a forensic examination of the scene.
