Gardai have launched a criminal investigation after a man was found dead in Dublin.
His remains were discovered this morning at a flat in Robinson’s Court on Cork Street.
The man was in his 70s.
Gardai said earlier that his remains were discovered in suspicious circumstances.
Garda forensics teams have conducted a technical examination of the residence.
The man's body is due to be removed to the city morgue this evening, with a post mortem to be conducted tomorrow.
Anyone who was in the area between 6pm yesterday evening and 11am this morning is being asked to contact Gardai.
