A man in his 30s has drowned in Graiguecullen County Carlow.
It's understood the man got into difficulty while swimming in the River Barrow last night, however Gardaí say they're investigating all circumstances surrounding his death.
Emergency services attended at around 9.20pm, where efforts to revive the man were made, however, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was taken to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination is due to take place at a later date.
