Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, after a man died in a hit-and-run in Co Roscommon.
The pedestrian, aged in his 80s, was hit by a car in Keadue at around 11.00pm last night - and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí said the car failed to remain at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 20-year-old man, later presented himself at Carrick-on-Shannon Garda station.
A full forensic and technical examination of the scene is being carried out.
