Gardai in Dublin are investigating following a fatal stabbing in Tallaght.
Officers were called to a serious assault at Mac Uilliam Road at around 7.15pm yesterday.
A 25 year old man was taken to Tallaght Hospital in a serious condition - he later died from his injuries.
The scene has been preserved and the State Pathologist has been notified.
A postmortem examination is due to take place later today.
A second man, aged in his 40s, was also injured in the incident and is being treated in hospital.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses to come forward, and for any drivers who were passing the Mac Uilliam Road area between 6.30 and 7.15 yesterday evening who may have dashcam footage to contact Tallaght Garda Station.
