An investigation has been launched after a 20-year-old man was stabbed to death in Cork.
At around twenty-past-nine last night, Gardaí were informed that a 20-year-old man received stab wounds.
He was brought to Cork University Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination.
Thursday night's in Cork are typically busy student nights, and it's understood a fight broke out at a house party.
Gardaí are asking anyone who might have video footage of the incident not to share it on social media.
A post mortem is scheduled to take place later today.
Gardaí are to start door to door inquiries this morning and they're appealing for witnesses to come forward.
