A 32-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a woman in Dublin earlier this month.
Joseph Byrne of La Touche Road, Bluebell, Dublin faces a further charge of possession of a semi-automatic handgun.
30-year-old mother Sinead Connolly was shot and seriously injured at her home in Bluebell ten days ago.
This afternoon 32-year-old Joseph Byrne was brought before Judge Treasa Kelly at Dublin District Court charged with the attempted murder of Ms Connolly.
He is also charged with possession of a semi-automatic handgun with intent to enable another person to endanger life.
Garda Colm Reynolds from Kilmainham Garda Station gave evidence of arrest, charge and caution.
The defendant was remanded in custody to appear in court again on March 19th.
