A 39-year-old man has been remanded in custody in Dublin in connection with the death of Brian Hogan.
On Friday, Mr. Hogan who was also 39, was discovered with stab wounds in an apartment in Finglas and died a short time later.
Keith Smithers of Barry Close, Finglas was arrested yesterday and taken to Blanchardstown Garda Station yesterday, charged with assault causing serious harm.
He made no response when handed the charge.
39-year-old Brian Hogan was found with stab wounds at a property in Collins Place, Finglas at around 4 pm on Friday, he died a short time later.
A second man was arrested in connection to Mr. Hogan’s death but was released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
Mr. Smithers was remanded to Cloverhill Prison and will appear again before the courts on Thursday, where a bill application will be made.
