Gardaí in Cork say they're investigating after a man arrived at Cork University Hospital with gunshot wounds in the early hours of this morning.
Officers says they're looking at all circumstances in relation to the man who presented with gunshot wounds at CUH shortly after 5am.
The man remains in a stable condition in hospital.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who was in the Wilton are of Cork city between 5am and 5.45 am this morning, and who may have noticed anything unusual, to contact them.
Any road users with video or dashcam footage are asked to are asked to make it available to investigating officers at Togher Garda Station.
