Gardai are investigating a suspected carjacking in Cork last night.
This incident happened at around 11:10PM last night in Douglas, when a woman in her 40s was threatened at knifepoint.
It's understood a man ordered her to leave the car when stopped at a set of traffic lights, before fleeing when the lights turned green.
It's believed the man was startled and fled on foot towards Willow Park.
Garda Dog Lazar found the suspect in a ditch, and a man in his 20s was arrested following a struggle with officers.
He's currently being held at Togher Garda Station.
