A 41-year-old south Dublin businessman has been arrested in connection with the murder of Elaine O'Hara.
The 36-year-old's remains were found in the Dublin mountains last month, over a year after she went missing.
The childcare worker was reported missing by her father on August 24th 2012, two days after she was last seen leaving her home in Stepaside in south Dublin.
Skeletal remains, discovered by a member of the public out walking at Kilakee Mountain near Rathfarnham on September 13th, were later identified as those of Elaine O'Hara.
Following a post mortem examination and forensic tests, the case was subsequently upgraded from a missing person investigation to a murder inquiry.
This morning, Gardai investigating her death, arrested a 41-year-old married businessman.
The father of two was detained during a dawn raid on his home in Foxrock in south Dublin.
He's being held at Blackrock Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The arrest follows an extensive investigation, during which Elaine O'Hara's laptop and phone records were examined, along with CCTV footage.
