A man in his 20s has been arrested after a gun and drugs were seized in Dublin.
They were recovered at a house in the capital yesterday on foot of a bench warrant.
It was searched as part of an investigation into burglaries which occurred at a premises on Merchants Road, East Wall in March and April.
Over the course of the search, Gardai recovered a loaded Beretta semi-automatic pistol with 6 rounds of ammunition.
Cannabis herb with an estimated street value of €44,460 and Diazepam tablets with a street value of €4,234 (subject to analysis) were also seized.
250 pouches of tobacco and exhibits in relation to the burglaries were also recovered from the house.
One man was arrested and taken to Store Street Garda Station where he is detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
He remains in custody and investigations are ongoing.
