A man has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a woman's body in North Cork yesterday.
He is being held on suspicion of unlawful killing.
Gardai say he's now being questioned at Fermoy Garda Station.
Yesterday afternoon the remains of 72-year-old Mary O'Keefe were found in a burnt-out car in Doneraile.
A short time after her body has located a man in his 60 was rescued from a nearby river.
He was then taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.
A post mortem examination on the victim's body is currently being carried out.
