Two people have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Dublin yesterday.
The victim - who has been named locally as 41-year-old Edward O'Connor - was shot on the Ballycoolin Road in Finglas at around five o'clock yesterday evening.
A man in his 40's and a woman in her 30's were arrested in connection with last night's fatal gun attack - which happened close to a scrapyard on the Ballycoolin Road in Finglas at about five o'clock yesterday evening.
A full post mortem will be carried out today - and the scene of the shooting - from the Premier Business Park to the Cappagh Road - remains sealed off this morning for a technical examination.
Investigating officers are calling for anyone who may have seen the shooting or knows anything about it to come forward.
