A man has died after being found unconscious in Killarney in Co Kerry last night.
It happened on the Muckross Road in the town last night.
At around 11:40pm, gardaí arrived at the scene and found an unconscious man in his 20s lying outside the entrance of a hotel.
The man was pronounced dead a short time later.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
Gardaí say the results of a post-mortem exam will determine the course of their investigation into the death, which they say is currently unexplained.
