An Irish Priest has delivered drive-by blessings to a number of communities in an old pope-mobile.
Fr. Malachy Conlon gave the blessing earlier this Holy Thursday around Cooley, Carlingford and Omeath in Co. Louth.
The usual blessings couldn't be given due to covid-19 restrictions.
Instead, Fr. Malachy took out to a pope mobile owned by a local family.

Fr Malachy says they were aware that a local family owned the vehicle and asked for the permission to use it for the occasion.
He says they used it 2 years ago to celebrate the anniversary of a local church.
"Prior to that it was used by Saint Pope John Paul II for his visit to Britain".
The Priest says it was one of the most moving experiences he's had in a long time:
"I was absolutely thirlled that so many people came out. It was amazing really".
