The Lord Mayor of Dublin has used up his yearly allowance of alcohol in just seven months.
He's gone through 120 kegs , that's over 10,000 pints, in the Mansion House since he came into office last June.
Guinness donates 120 kegs of free beer to Dublin’s Mansion House every year, but January of this year, the Mansion House requested a boost in stock from Guinness makers Diageo as they were running out of beer.
However Mayor Ring has defended his decision saying that he's invited over 16,000 people into the Mansion House during his time in office so far:
'We've had three civic receptions this year, one for the Dubs, one for the hockey team and one for Kellie Harrington and I said at the time if this continues we're going to be on glasses of water and cream crackers'.
