Local Businesses Ripped Apart in Leitrim "Tornado"
Local businesses in Leitrim village are picking up the pieces this morning after it was hit by a mini tornado yesterday.
The village will remain closed off until damage caused during Storm Fergus yesterday is surveyed by the council.
A number of buildings and cars were severely damaged and minor injuries were reported.
The inside of a car that was badly damaged after a tornado tore threw Leitrim Village yesterday. A few planks of wood from a nearby roof went straight through the windscreen.

Seamus Gibbons, the owner of Electric Bike Trails says it shredded the roof of his business and damaged others:
"This mini tornado literally swept across from east to west and through the village...across the road from me it took the middle of a house, the roof, clean off".
