Lisa Smith’s lawyer has told Dublin District Court that his client is anxious to have her case dealt with so she can prove her innocence.
The former Irish soldier is accused of being a member of the jihadist terrorist group Isis.
Ms. Smith was due to be handed the book of evidence against her when she returned to court today, but she was told it wasn’t ready for service.
She was taken into custody in December after being brought home to Ireland from Istanbul, and she was granted bail just before Christmas on condition she obeys a curfew and stays off the internet.
Her solicitor expressed his disappointment that the book of evidence wasn’t ready today, and asked for the case to be dealt with expeditiously.
Peter Corrigan again said he believed the case should be dropped, and urged the DPP to again look at certain documentation provided.
The judge said that was a matter for the parties to deal with.
Ms. Smith denies being a member of Isis between October 28th, 2015 and December 1st, 2019.
She was remanded on continuing bail this morning and is due back in court next month.
