Rolling home ontop of a gold sports car, Leona said she was overwhelmed with the support from Ballyconnell.
"These moments don't happen often so you might as well support them when they do," she said.
The athlete said she was grateful for the local support, especially from non golfing fans.
"I've had the support of this incredible community for long - it's nice to share this moment with them"

She even joked that it gave GAA fans a new interest.

"Cavan didn't go too far in the football this year so it's nice to give them something to root for"
"The lads carried it last year so it's nice to do my bit this year," she added.
