Leaving cert students won't get their results until September.
The results of this year's Leaving Cert will be issued on Friday, September 3rd.
It's much later than the traditional release date of mid-August.
The delay may mean some colleges will have to push back the start of first-year classes from mid to late September.
College offers are due to be released the week after Leaving Cert students are issued their results.
This year’s students have the option of receiving ‘Accredited Grades,’ sitting the written exams, or both.
If a student opts to do both, they will receive the better of the two results.
