The wait is over for over 55-thousand Leving Cert students - who have begun arriving at schools across the country to collect their results.
One student received nine A1s - while 161 others got six A1s or more.
The number of candidates sitting the exams fell to its lowest figure in six years - but a higher number of students than ever before took Higher Level Maths.
However, the new 'Project Maths' syllabus does not appear to have improved results - with the number of Honours grades down by over 10 per cent.
But Education Minister Ruairi Quinn says that was to be expected.
