Leap card users can bring a 'plus one' on public transport for free this February Bank Holiday Weekend.
It runs from Saturday the 4th of next month until the bank holiday Monday, which is the 6th.
The National Transport Authority says Leap users only need to pay for themselves - and mention the plus one to bus drivers.
However, on commuter trains, DART, or Luas services, the user only needs to tag on as usual and bring their plus one along.
Environment Minister Eamon Ryan said, " this Leap +1 means that even more people can experience what our public transport system has to offer.
"It’s an initiative that’s good for friends and family and that’s good for our environment, as we enjoy this first February Bank Holiday."
While, CEO of the National Transport Authority Ann Graham said, "the Leap +1 initiative provides the opportunity for people to come together this Bank Holiday weekend to meet up with friends and family while using public transport which is a more sustainable choice."
