A 58 year old man, wanted in connection with the murder of Barry McCrory, has been arrested in Derry overnight following a major manhunt.
The 35 year old was shot dead in a flat in Shipquay Street last Thursday.
The PSNI launched an appeal for information about Kieran McLaughlin in the aftermath of the killing and warned the public not to approach him.
He was detained in the Galliagh area of Derry overnight on suspicion of murder - it's understood he was armed at the time but no shots were fired.
