Keem beach on Achill Island in Co Mayo has been recognised as the best place in the UK or Ireland to go sea swimming.
The island bay has been voted the number one "wild swimming spot" by UK-based company Ocean Bottle.
Irish beaches took up six of the top 20 spots on the list, with Trá na Dóilín and Dog's Bay in Connemara, Dooey Beach in Co Donegal, Curracloe in Wexford and Sligo's Enniscrone beach all recognised.
Travel editor with the Irish Independent, Pól Ó Conghaile, says the beach is one of Ireland's best-kept secrets.
"There are lots of people who would love to keep Keem a secret.
"Some days in winter you can land there and you'll be the only person on the beach.
"Surrounded by the cliffs with this magical patchwork around you, it's just beautiful."
