The Justice Minister has urged young people to "forget about the bling" and stay away from a life of crime.
Minister Charlie Flanagan also had some strong words for those already involved in gangs - branding them as "losers".
Four men from the North Dublin area have been shot dead so far this year in gangland-style attacks.
Three of those deaths have happened since May 21st.

Today Minister Flanagan appealed for locals to work with Gardaí to put a stop to criminal gangs:
"My message to young people in this area is that there is no future in organised crime, or drugs, or the associated bling that brings".
"These are losers, and I'm calling on the community to work closely with An Garda Siochana to ensure that this current challenge can be surmounted".
