Hundreds of students from schools all over the country are displaying their scientific savvy at the BT Young Scientist Exhibition in Dublin.
A record 2000 projects were submitted this year - the 50th anniversary of the event – which opens to the public tomorrow.
Some 550 projects in science and technology will face the judges today - with the winners announced on Saturday.
