Gemma O’Doherty and John Waters will have to pay yet another legal bill following their latest failed attempt to bring a court challenge to the Covid-19 laws.
Last month, the Court of Appeal turned down the pair's bid to overturn a previous decision not to allow them to challenge the constitutionality of the emergency legislation.
The same court ordered them to pay for that failed appeal today.
However, O’Doherty and Waters claimed they shouldn’t have to pay the costs.
The pair argue they should not foot the bill because of their contention that their case was in the public interest.
The judges have disagreed with O’Doherty and Waters' assessment.
Today’s decision comes on top of a previous order for them to pay the other side’s fees for last year’s two-day hearing before the High Court.
