It's the Dublin day of Joe Biden's visit to Ireland.
The US President will be in Phoenix Park on Thursday morning to meet with President Michael D Higgins, where he'll plant a tree at Áras an Uachtaráin.
President Biden will meet with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar at Farmleigh House before he addresses TDs and Senators in Leinster House.
The joint sitting of the Dáil and Seanad will be boycotted by People Before Profit TDs.
This evening, President Biden will be hosted at a state dinner at Dublin Castle.
Road Closures
Road closures and parking restrictions are in effect around Dublin city centre today.
The Phoenix Park closed its gates at 5pm on Wednesday evening and will remain closed until 5pm on Thursday.
45 streets in the south inner city have parking restrictions in place, with 11 streets in the area now fully closed to traffic.
Here are all the streets that are currently closed:
- Kildare Street
- Molesworth St
- Merrion Street
- Merrion St Upper
- Fitzwilliam Lane
- School House Lane (Access from Molesworth St only)
- Merrion Sq West
- Merrion Sq South
Further closures kick in from 8am on Thursday:
- Ship Street
- Castle Street
- Palace Street (closed to pedestrians)
