Jerry Springer has died at the age of 79.
He presented the talk show 'The Jerry Springer Show' for 27 years best known for fights and the audience chanting "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!"
He died at his home in Chicago in the US.
Celebrity website TMZ said Springer had been diagnosed with cancer several months ago, and died at his home in the Chicago area.
As well as his own show, Springer made several guest appearances as himself on shows such as 'The Simpsons' and the 2009 mockumentary 'Brüno'.
Before his TV career, he served as the 56th Mayor of Cincinnati from 1977 to 1978.
