The Prime Minister of Israel says he has ordered "massive strikes" against targets in the Gaza Strip.
Benjamin Netanyahu's statement comes after six Palestinians and one Israeli were killed after a two-day surge in cross border attacks.
Hostilities have flared up between Israel and militants in Gaza following a breakdown in ceasefire talks.
Mr. Netanyahu made the remarks at the start of a weekly cabinet meeting earlier:

Violence has escalated in the region in recent days - with fatalities reported by both sides.
Palestinian militants have fired over 400 rockets into Israeli territory since Saturday.
