The family of an Irishwoman, who is being held on drug smuggling charges in Peru, is insisting she is innocent.
Michaella McCollum-Connolly was arrested in Lima last week along with another young woman from Scotland.
The 20-year-old from Dungannon in Co Tyrone was reported missing by her family, after she failed to contact them for almost two weeks.
She had been on a working holiday on the Spanish island of Ibiza, where she was employed as a nightclub hostess.
It emerged last week that police in Peru arrested the Northern Ireland photography student on suspicion of drug smuggling.
Michaella McCollum Connolly and her 19-year-old friend Melissa Reid from Glasgow were detained at Lima's international airport.
They were searched as they were about to board a flight to Madrid on Tuesday last, August 6th.
Almost 11 kilograms of cocaine, worth an estimated €1.7 million, was discovered in their luggage.
Peruvian police say the drugs were hidden inside packages of food.

The Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin says its providing consular assistance to her family - as is the Foreign Office in London.
The young women can be held in custody for up to 15 days without charge.
However Michaela McCollum-Connolly's family says she is innocent, insisting she is not a drug trafficker.
