A 57-year-old Irishwoman is among three people rescued by police in London investigating domestic slavery.
Two other women, a 69-year-old from Malaysia and a British woman aged 30, were also discovered.
A man and a woman, both aged in their 60's,have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Our News Correspondent Fergal O'Brien reports:The plight of the women came to light after a TV documentary, involving the Freedom Charity, on slavery and domestic servitude was aired in the UK.
Police say it appears they were held against their will for over 30 years, in a house in South London.
The three, who contacted the charity after seeing the programme, are described as being highly traumatised.
Police say the women are now being cared for in a place of safety.
Officers from the London Metropolitan Human Trafficking Unit, arrested the man and woman, both aged 67, this morning.
