A new stamp has been launched which celebrates the Irish obsession with the weather.
The An Post stamp features a blue sky, green fields, and sheeting rain.
It displays expressions for some of the weather we face in both English and Irish.
It includes different words we use for rain including 'lashing', 'spitting' and 'a soft day'.
It's the second stamp design by Irish duo The Stone Twins.
‘A Stamp for Ireland’ is available at selected post offices nationwide.
An Post Commercial Marketing Director, Fiona Heffernan said:
We know this will appeal to the Irish public as a reflection of themselves but will also to visitors to Ireland who expect and anticipate rain as an essential part of their visit.
