Irish water will face questions from the Oireachtas Environment Committee about who sanctioned the spending of 50 million euro on consultant fees, and whether it was value for money.
Company staff will appear before the committee on Tuesday, after it emerged that 50 million was spent on consultants in its first year.
Irish Water has defended the spending, saying it can save the state more than 2 billion euro in the next eight years.
The Chairman of the Committee, Labour TD Michael McCarthy says they need to be accountable.
