The number of incidents at level crossings this year have jumped by 82% when compared to 2018.
Irish Rail is calling for greater vigilance on International Level Crossing Awareness Day.

There are 948 level crossings on the network, and 51 incidents have been reported so far this year.
The Sutton Station barrier in Dublin been struck 10 times already in 2019.
