Irish Rail has announced a series of new rail services which could be in place by December 10th.
There's a public consultation open now until the 27th of September.
Within the plan there are a series of tweaks to existing timetables, while there are a number of new services added.
Irish Rail plans to have a service from Cork which would arrive in Dublin Heuston before 9am - which would leave Cork at 6am during the week.
There are eight additional services planned on the Heuston to Portlaoise line.
The rail operator is proposing that a number of existing services stop at additional stations like Ballinasloe (Galway - Dublin), Clara (Galway - Dublin) and Portlaoise (Cork - Dublin).
Within Dublin, Irish Rail is proposing additional DART services on Saturdays and Sundays.
