An Irish celebrity has pleaded not guilty to engaging in sexual acts with an underage girl.
The man, who can’t be named because of the nature of the charges, is facing three charges of defilement.
The first is alleged to have taken place at a business premises in Dublin sometime in August 2010.
The second is alleged to have taken place at his home in Dublin on an unknown date between the 1st of August 2010 and the 13th of December 2010.
He’s also accused of defiling the girl at the same address on the 14th of December 2010.
He pleaded not guilty to all charges when they were put to him today.
A jury of nine men and three women was then sworn in to hear his trial, which is expected to take up to five days.
Neither he nor the complainant can be identified due to the nature of the charges.
