A young Irish boy has been found unconscious in a swimming pool near Alicante in Spain this morning.
It's understood he was on holiday with his family at the time.
He's been taken to hospital where he's fighting for his life.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says it stands ready to provide consular assistance to any Irish citizen in distress abroad.
