Ireland's population is set to rise by more than 1 million people by 2036.
By then, the CSO is estimating 5.81 million people will be living here.

In the next 17 years, The Dublin and Mid-East regions are projected to show the strongest population growth.
The capitals population is expected to increase by 31.9%, from 1.34 million in 2016 to 1.76 million.
The number of people aged 65 and over is expected to rise by over 65%.
