For the first time in over 18 months a night-club in the Republic opens it's door tonight.
The event in the Button Factory in Dublin will see 450 people in attendance, which is 60% of the venue's capacity.
Digital Covid Certs and antigen tests will be required to attend the event, which will see a number of DJ's perform.
Sunil Sharpe will be among the DJs on stage and he said the event will place a big emphasis on personal responsibility.
"The organisation of this event and the report that comes after will be a lot more comprehensive than previous pilot events."
Sunil, who also heads the "Give Us The Night Campaign", says the late night exemption fees are the biggest challenge facing the late night industry.
"How on earth after after 18 months shut should venues pay an additional €400 per night [to stay open late]?"
He's calling on the government to fast-track the move to scrap the fees in order to give venues "a fighting chance of survival."
