Ireland's first liver transplant recipient has now won a total of 4 medals at the World Transplant Games in South Africa.
50 year old Carlow man Tony Gartland secured GOLD in the 5,000m Racewalk event, and Bronze in the 800m race today.
This brings his total medal tally to 4 - including 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze.
Tony underwent a Liver Transplant twenty years ago at St Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin.
