Ireland is boosting its commitment to fighting the Syrian humanitarian crisis by 12 million euro.
The Trade and Development Minister Joe Costello is attending an international conference in Kuwait today - which aims to raise 6-point-5 billion dollars for those most in need.
Minister Costello says the humanitarian crisis in Syria is a "major human tragedy" and a "growing threat to regional stability".
He says the money will provide food, education, health and other essential services to millions of refugees.
