Lawyers in Italy are urging Interpol to launch a missing person investigation after a Dublin based Chinese woman disappeared during a Mediterranean cruise.

Xing Lei Li was last seen two weeks ago with her German husband Daniel Belling and their two children.

It's reported Mr Belling has told judges he believed she had returned to her native China or their home in Clarehall in Dublin after they had a row.

He claims a similar incident happened on a previous holiday.

Mr Belling remains in jail while the children are being cared for by Italian social services.
