Instagram is going to tell teenagers to go to bed.
The social media app is launching an update which will send notifications after 10pm to encourage teenagers to go asleep.
The alerts will appear when accounts of under 18s have spent more than 10 minutes on Instagram on features like Reels or DMs late at night, according to Tech Crunch.
Under 18s will be advised to close the app, but they'll be able to dismiss them and keep scrolling.
The automatic alerts won't be able to be disabled by users.
Meta, Instagram's parent company, says it's creating the feature as it wants teenagers to know sleep is important for young people.
