Instagram says it's aware of an issue which has caused some users to lose followers overnight.
Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez are among those to have lost millions of followers on the social media site.
An Instagram spokesperson told Today FM:
We're aware of an issue causing a change in account follower numbers for some people right now.
We're working quickly to fix this.
In November, the photo sharing app announced it would start removing inauthentic likes and follows in order to "provide real experiences and genuine interactions".
Instagram says last nights issue is not related to this.
A spokesperson couldn't confirm how many users were affected.
