The Irish Farmers Association wants an ad from the 80's to be re-aired to make people more aware of the danger of dog attacks on sheep.
The IFA says the number of attacks will increase now that lambing season is here.
It wants the Department of Agriculture to put out an advertising campaign which first ran in 1984.
We are now in lambing season, which results in increased incidents of dog attacks on sheep. @IFAmedia is calling on @agriculture_ie @creedcnw & @MurphyEoghan to re-run this advertising campaign on responsible dog ownership https://t.co/Jq46ExttXe via @YouTube#bringbackbonzo pic.twitter.com/gWKAJdaYZL

Between 3,000 to 4,000 sheep are either injured and killed.
