Counting is underway in the Irish Farmers Association presidential election in Dublin.
Two farmers from Meath and Laois are vying to succeed John Bryan (pictured below) as the 14th IFA leader, when his four year term ends in January.
The IFA, which has around 88,000 members around the country, is one of the largest and most influential lobby groups.
With more than a third of the 946 branches counted, the current deputy president Eddie Downey from Slane leads the south Leinster vice-president Jer Bergin from Ballacolla.
